During an impromptu meeting in late 2004, John Bresee, our President and Co-Founder, was saying something about us carrying so many products that it may be tough for people to find what they want. Someone joked, “Yeah, we should just carry one thing at a time.”
Well, good ideas have a way of running on their own. Within 3 weeks we’d launched a new site –- SteepandCheap.com –- where we’d offer one item per day at a ridiculous deal, as much as 80% off, until it was sold out. As the ranks of devoted swarmed to the site, we quickly moved from only one deal a day to one deal at a time all day long, in order to meet the voracious demands of the obsessed deal hunters out there.
To say we’re stoked is an understatement. We couldn’t be happier with the direction we’re headed.
