PARK CITY, Utah (August 15, 2007) – Backcountry.com needs gear experts to work in its customer solutions centers for the winter season. The online retailer of high-end outdoor adventure gear and apparel has loads of open seasonal positions, and will be hiring now through October.

“We need high-energy people who are passionate about outdoor activities and who know gear—who use it and love to talk about it,” said Charla Brown, Backcountry.com’s Human Resources Director. “These are seasonal positions, so summertime park rangers, river guides or expedition leaders looking for winter work would be a perfect fit.”

Most positions are located Backcountry.com’s Salt Lake City customer solutions center or its “live chat” facility in Park City. Backcountry does offer limited work-from-home options. Full-time employment is available until mid-September. After that, the company will focus only on filling seasonal positions. Seasonal employment generally lasts through February of the following year. Opportunities do exist for seasonal workers to become regular year-round employees with full benefits.

Backcountry.com offers casual dress, flexible schedules, competitive pay, a deep employee discount, industry perks (discounted ski passes, pro deals, transferable passes at world-class ski resorts), great advancement opportunities, and the opportunity to be a part something solid and exciting.
