Q. What is Affiliate marketing?
Affiliate Marketing is a type of internet marketing that allows websites to share traffic and
revenue using banner, text, product or content advertisements. Merchants who sell goods and
services online pay commissions to site owners (Affiliates) for referring sales or leads.
From a merchant standpoint, the ROI for affiliate marketing is much greater as merchants pay
only for results.
Q. Can I participate in other Affiliate programs?
Yes. The DogFunk.com Affiliate program is non-exclusive.
Q. Do I need a business license to participate?
No. DogFunk.com Affiliates may be an individual or a formal business. Upon registration,
individuals will be required to enter their Social Security Number. Businesses will be required
to enter a Tax ID/Business License.
Q. How much money can I earn as an Affiliate?
Affiliate marketing can be great passive income but it does take time and work. The DogFunk.com
program allows you to be as involved as you would like. We offer many innovative tools for Affiliates
and if marketed correctly, these tools can translate into thousands of dollars in commissions.
Q. What if my website is based outside of the United States?
We partner with Affiliates across the globe. If your site meets our criteria, we will accept you
into the program.

Q. Why should I partner with DogFunk.com?
There are many reasons why you should partner with DogFunk.com. Here are a few of the most
important reasons: 1) Our conversion rate is double that of competitors we have indentified, 2) Our
average cart size exceeds $125, 3) We continuously build innovative tools to make promoting our
products easier, 4) We have top commission structures in our category, and 5) We offer dedicated
account management, both in house and within CJ.
Q. Who can become a DogFunk.com Affiliate?
Anyone with a functional, clean and content-rich website. Your website does not need to be all
about outdoor sports and adventure travel, although it is prefered. Requirments include sites that
do not use any software promotional methods whatsoever, we do not allow rebate or incentive
programs, and email marketing must be targeted to an established opt in list collected through your
user base and not purchased. We also do not allow coupon sites for DogFunk.com, or any sites
with emphasis on bargain or discounted merchandise.
Q. How does DogFunk.com track Affiliate sales?
All sales tracking is handled through the Commission Junction Marketplace. Visit the
CJ FAQ for more information.
Q. How much does it cost?
The DogFunk.com Affiliate program is free. There are no fees of any kind. Join now and start earning money today!
Q. How and when do I get paid for the sales I make?
Commissions for sales will be paid out the following month. Performance incentives for Affiliates are
paid two months out. In order to receive a check from Commission Junction, your balance must be at
least $25. Checks may be mailed or directly deposited to your bank account.

Q. Are there incentives and bonuses for high performing Affiliates?
We have a performanced-based program where Affiliates can make up to 10% per item sold.
Q. What merchandising tools are available for Affiliates?
In addition to banner and text ads (that update regularly), we also have Product Catalog Datafeeds
and the Sniplet Generator. With the Datafeed, the option exists to publish our entire product catalog
to your website. We have several feeds to choose from. The Sniplet Generator allows you to create
content tables that specifically include thumbnail image, description and buy now link for each product.
The Sniplet tables are automated from our inventory database so once created it will never have to be

Q. Can affiliates operate Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns for DogFunk.com?
PPC Campaigns are permitted, however; do to recent policy changes with Google, publishers must first
land users on there site before pushing through to DogFunk.com. Review our program terms for more
on our paid search policy for affiliates.
Q. I don't have a Web site yet. Can I still apply?
No. All DogFunk.com Affiliates must have a functional website that meets our acceptance criteria.
Q. How do I sign up?
Follow these four steps to become a DogFunk.com affiliate and start earning money:
- Read the Affiliate Agreement and then click the JOIN NOW button which
will take you to our co-branded Affiliate Application with Commission Junction.
- Commission Junction will notify you by email once you've been approved, and will provide you with your login and password.
- Go to the DogFunk.com section of Commission Junction, start downloading banner and text links and add them to your site.
- Earn some of the top commissions in the industry as a DogFunk.com affiliate!

Q. May I use the DogFunk.com logo, content or images on my site?
Affiliates have access to a wide variety of site content and images to use for marketing on our
behalf. Feel free to use any product image by right-clicking on a graphic on our site, and then
selecting 'Properties'. Once in you are viewing the image properties, you will see the image URL.
Simply copy that URL and paste into your site. Content is also available in the form of detailed
descriptions and customer reviews. This content may be accessed through the Datafeed or by
manually grabbing from our site. We also have complete and very relevant articles available
to Affiliates. Please email us for more information on using the newsletter articles for your
site content.

Q. How many different ways can I link to DogFunk.com?
You can link to DogFunk.com with product links from the Datafeed, stand-alone product links,
Sniplet Generator links, content links, logos, search boxes, banners, and text links. You could
also choose to link to different destinations on our website such as specific items, categories,
product groups or our homepage. All these features will eventually be available from our new
Affiliate Portal scheduled for release in the spring of 2005. In the meantime, don't hesitate
to email us if you have questions on how to
create more specific linking options.
Q. Can I build product links for specific items?
Yes. This is entirely possible, however; we won't have an automated tool for this until the
Affiliate Portal is launched in the spring of 2005. Please email us if you would like information
and a template for building specific product links.
Q. How often should I update my links?
There are several banner links available through CJ that highlight our weekly sales and promotions.
These links are updated weekly on our end, so if you choose to use one of these banners you won't have
to update them at all. All banner links are updated real time if we make the change, and we keep
seasonal banners rotating for the appropriate time of year. Text links, on the other hand, are hard-coded
and will have to kept up-to-date by you. It's very important to review links on regular basis to
be sure they reflect accurately the time of year, etc. The more up-to-date your links are the higher
your conversion will be.
Q. How can I check that my links are tracking properly?
Once you have your links set up on your site simply click through one of the links to DogFunk.com.
Once you arrive at DogFunk.com, check in the upper right hand corner of the header for your
Commission Junction Publisher ID (PID). It should be listed as Reference #. If you see your PID
as the reference that means the tracking data has been captured correctly and you are good-to-go.
Q. How often does DogFunk.com update Affiliate banners and text ads?
We update new banners regulary to reflect seasonal activities and special or ongoing promotions.
There are also several cross-seasonal/activity banners that may be found at any time of the year.
If you find that we are not offering creatives that you can use effectively, please
email us and we will do what we can to
accommodate your request.
