Coupon Bidding

Backcountry.com sites allow Publishers to bid on the term “Backcountry.com Coupons” and variations (no straight trademark bidding). Within the ad copy it’s prohibited for the Publisher to claim they have a coupon when one hasn’t been offered.  For example “Backcountry.com 30% Off Coupon” is unacceptable.  Backcountry.com catalog sites do not compete on price and only offer site-wide coupons 2-3 times per year.  These are the only times it’s acceptable to allude in the ad copy you hold a percent off coupon. All other times publishers must use the current sale, promo or similar in their ad copy.  For example “Winter Clearance Up To 50% Off”, notice no mention of the word “coupon.”
